Scan Analytics

LeafCast tracks every QR code scan. Use the analytics tools to understand how visitors interact with your plant labels, which plants attract the most attention, and where your scans are coming from.

Dashboard Overview

The main dashboard shows a 14-day scan trend line chart (powered by Chart.js), giving you a quick view of recent activity. The stats row at the top shows:

Total scans — lifetime scan count
Active listings — number of currently active plant listings
Total QR codes — labels generated

Analytics Page

The analytics page at Analytics in the sidebar provides deeper insights:

30-day daily scan chart — a bar chart showing scan volume for each of the last 30 days
Scans by source — a doughnut chart splitting scans between App (scans via the Melur mobile app) and iOS Web (scans via iPhone camera)
Top plants — a ranked list of your most-scanned plants with horizontal bar visualisation

Scan Logs

The Scan Logs page lists every individual scan event in a table:

Plant — the plant that was scanned (common + scientific name)
Source — a colour-coded badge: green "App" or orange "iOS Web"
QR Code — the truncated QR UUID (first 8 characters)
Scanned At — the date and time of the scan

Scan logs are paginated for easy browsing.

What the Data Tells You

Which plants are most popular with visitors — focus your marketing on them
Whether visitors use the app or phone camera — helps you decide where to invest
Scan trends over time — spot patterns by day of week or after promotions

Demo Reference Data

The demo portal includes sample analytics for GreenLeaf Nursery: 847 total scans (712 via App, 135 via iOS Web). Top plants include Butterfly Pea (142 scans), Lemongrass (98), and Turmeric (87).
