Everything you need to get started with the Pepohon LeafCast platform.

Plant Listings

Plant listings are the heart of LeafCast. Each listing links a real plant species (from our botanical database) to your vendor profile with your custom pricing, location, and sales text.

Accessing Your Listings

Navigate to My Plants in the sidebar. You'll see a table of all your current listings showing:

  • Plant — common name and scientific name (italicised)
  • Price — your custom price with currency symbol, or "---" if not set
  • Location — location label text and GPS coordinates as a Google Maps link
  • Validity — date range when the listing is active, or "Always" if no end date
  • QR Codes — number of QR codes generated for this listing
  • Status — a colour-coded badge: green (Active), orange (Expired), grey (Inactive)

Creating a Listing

Click the Add Listing button to open the creation form.

Basic fields (all plans):

  • Plant selection — choose from our database of botanical species. Each entry shows the common name in English and Malay, plus the scientific name (e.g. Bunga Telang / Butterfly Pea — Clitoria ternatea).
  • Currency — MYR (default), USD, or SGD
  • Active status — toggle the listing on or off

Paid plan fields (Monthly/Exhibition only):

  • Price — set your selling price (e.g. RM 18.00)
  • Custom text — a short sales pitch that appears on the visitor's scan result (e.g. "Fresh from our nursery. Ask us how to grow vivid blue flowers at home.")
  • Location label — e.g. "GreenLeaf Nursery, Shah Alam" or "Booth A3, MAHA 2026"
  • GPS location — place a pin on the interactive Leaflet map (OpenStreetMap). You can save frequently used locations as presets for re-use.
  • Validity window — set valid_from and valid_until dates. Perfect for exhibition passes with fixed durations.

Free Tier Limits

The Free plan supports up to 15 plant listings. Pricing, GPS location, custom text, and validity window fields are locked. A notice is shown on the form directing you to upgrade to access these features.

Managing Listings

Use the Edit button to modify a listing's fields at any time.

Use the Delete button to remove a listing (with confirmation). Deletion also cascades to associated QR codes and scan history.

At the top of the listing page, you can toggle Auto-play Audio for all your listings (paid plans only). When enabled, visitors hear the plant's audio narration automatically when they scan the QR code.

Language Support

Plant names, descriptions, medicinal uses, and fun facts are stored in the database in all four languages: Malay, English, Chinese, and Tamil. Visitors see the content in their preferred language when they scan.
