Getting Started & LeafQuest Workflow

A quickstart guide to the core operations of LeafQuest for park managers and curators.

What is LeafQuest?

LeafQuest is a purpose-built digital platform and physical hardware system designed specifically for botanical gardens, arboretums, nature sanctuaries, university campuses, and recreational trails. Unlike commercial nursery tags, LeafQuest focuses on sequential botanical storytelling, multilingual audio guides, mature tree preservation, and visitor movement analytics.

💡 No Mandatory App Download

Park visitors never need to install an app from the App Store or Google Play. By simply scanning a LeafQuest plaque QR code with their native phone camera, a full interactive web guide opens in under one second.

6 Steps of Smart Trail Management

  1. Create Your Park Profile: Enter your park name, operating hours, overview, and trailhead entrance GPS coordinates.
  2. Organize into Thematic Zones: Set up thematic zones such as Traditional Herbs, Lowland Dipterocarp Forest, or Orchidarium.
  3. Build Trails & Sequenced Stops: Establish walking routes (e.g. Heritage Trail 1.2 KM) and define numbered stop sequences (Stop 1 → Stop 2 → Stop 3).
  4. Match Species & Sync Audio: Select trees from Melur’s verified botanical library with 8-language audio narration, or register custom heritage trees.
  5. Print & Mount Weatherproof Plaques: Generate high-resolution vector PDF plaques or order anodized aluminium plates with arborist spring screw sets.
  6. Track Analytics & Hazard Reports: Monitor daily scans, trail drop-off rates, and direct visitor reports on fallen branches or weathered signs.
