Chapter 2

Park Profiles & Geo Zones

Configuring public park credentials and structuring grounds into thematic botanical zones.

Configuring Your Park Profile

Your park profile is the digital storefront visitors see when discovering your grounds. Under LeafQuest → Parks, you can configure:

  • Official Park Name: e.g., Putrajaya Botanical Garden or FRIM Arboretum.
  • Overview & Heritage: Founding year, total acreage, and ecological highlights.
  • Operating Hours & Admission: Opening/closing schedules and entry terms.
  • Ticketing / Booking URL: Official link if your park charges admission or requires pre-registration.
  • Trailhead GPS Coordinates: Allows visitors to open one-click navigation directly to your entrance gates via Google Maps or Waze.

Why Thematic Zones Matter

Large botanical gardens and expansive campuses often host hundreds of specimens. Zones enable practical, scientific organization:

🌿 Taxonomic & Ecosystem Zones

Group flora by native biome such as Coastal Forest, Peat Swamp Flora, or Fern Garden.

🏺 Ethnobotanical & Cultural Zones

Traditional Malay Medicinal Plants, Culinary Spices, or Natural Dye Plant collections.

Every zone can have a custom color theme and concise description. When visitors arrive at stops within a zone, its badge is highlighted prominently on their phone screen.
