Building Trails & Sequenced Stops

Creating interactive walks with numbered stops and directional wayfinding cues.

Core Attributes of a Trail

A trail is an intentional sequential exploration route leading visitors through botanical highlights. Each trail specifies:

  • Trail Distance: Estimated walk distance (e.g., 850 meters or 2.4 KM).
  • Estimated Walking Duration: e.g., 45 Minutes.
  • Difficulty Rating: Easy, Moderate, or Challenging.
  • Trailhead Entrance Plaque: A dedicated QR plaque at the trail entrance opening the full route overview before visitors start.

Adding Sequenced Stops (Trail Stops)

Each notable tree or specimen along the path is registered as a sequenced Stop:

1
Stop Sequence Order:

Stops are automatically ordered (1, 2, 3...) so visitors follow an intuitive, immersive narrative without losing their way.

2
Directional Wayfinding Cues:

Include physical guidance at each stop. For example: "After examining this Meranti tree, proceed 30 meters ahead and take the stone stairs on the right."

3
Completion Badges & Certificates:

Visitors who successfully scan all stops through to the final station earn a digital Achievement Badge and shareable Completion Certificate directly on their device.
